Hello residents of Mantua!

I’m Angela, and I work with the accounts receivable at the town office. I thought I would bring something to your attention and hope to clear some things up. We have had a few issues with late fees on the utility bills. We do accept credit card payments if you come in and use your card at the office. When you use Bill Pay with your bank, they draft the payment from your account and send us a paper check through the mail. These are not instant payments. When they draft the payment from your account, they still take the time to print a check and mail it to us, and that can take some time. You may see the amount debited from your account, but it still hasn’t made it to our office. When we receive those checks, they are processed that day and are not held in our office. Please make sure that you process those payments with your banks with enough time for them to print the check, mail it to us, and make it to our office on the 23rd to avoid a late fee. 7 to 10 days is usually enough time. WHEN PAYING ONLINE, MAKE SURE YOU'RE ON THE 'MY BILLING' SECTION OF THE MENU. THIS IS DIFFERENT FROM THE DASHBOARD, WHICH IS THE FIRST PAGE THAT COMES UP WHEN YOU LOG IN.

Utility Rates and Deposits

Water Rate             $31.00 per month up to 10,000 gallons

                                 $1.25 per thousand gallons for 10,001-50,000

                                 $1.75 per thousand gallons for 50,001-90,000 gallons

                                 $2.25 per thousand gallons for 90,001 gallons

                                 $2.75 per thousand gallons for 130,000 gallons and above

The above Rates only apply during the summer months when the meters are read.

Sewer Rate                  $43.00 per Resolution 2023-06-01 (Starting July 1, 2023)

Late Fee                       $10.00 (after the 23rd of the month)

Water disconnect fee  $50.00 (for nonpayment or at owner's request for disconnect)

Water reconnect fee  $50.00

Any disconnect notice after 2nd notice served per calendar year will have a $25.00 fee added
